their car's tyre pressure regularly, but the execution could be better. An intention is one thing, just sticking to it is another. You probably know the situation, you have filled up and decide to check the tyre pressure, but you don't have the appropriate coins to throw in the dispenser, or someone is just in front of you, with the same intention. Very recognisable, as I have little patience myself and it is easier to think \"it will come next week\". Despite my own reprehensible behaviour, let me remind you that pressure is very important for safety, tyre wear and fuel consumption. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gevolgen_onjuiste_bandenspanning\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consequences of incorrect tyre pressure <\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your car's tyre pressure is more important than you think! Incorrect pressure can cause your braking distance to be longer, tyres to wear faster and\/or irregularly and fuel consumption to increase. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gevolg_te_hoge_spanning\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resulting excess voltage<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people think they are more <\/span><b>bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (air) into the tyre than prescribed, in order to reduce fuel consumption. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But too much <\/span><b>bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the tyre means that the tyre is not fully touching the road surface, which affects braking distance and cornering grip. The minimal amount of fuel you save is then spent on a new set of tyres, as they wear down faster and more irregularly. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gevolgen_te_weinig_bandenspanning\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consequences of insufficient tyre pressure<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The people who never check the voltage and drive around like this for a year usually end up with too little <\/span><b>bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the band. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to temperature differences, the pressure usually drops below 2 <\/span><b>bar. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the pressure is too low, the tyre is extremely soft and there is a risk that it will burst at high speed or when cornering. Perhaps after washing your car is a good time to check the tyre pressure. You can easily check tyre pressure using a tyre pressure gauge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you go on holiday to a country with big temperature changes, it is wise to check the tension every week. Do this during a rest stop at a petrol station, for example.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hoeveel_bar_moet_in_mijn_auto\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How much bar should my car have? <\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This information is almost always on the side of a pump. Once you have found the right information, unscrew the valve caps (keep them in a good place). Then, if necessary, insert coins into the pump and set the right tyre pressure (e.g. front 2.2 bar and rear 2.3 bar). Then just put the hose on the valve and the tyre is inflated or deflated, depending on the amount of bar in your tyre. Do not be alarmed if the tyre slowly deflates a little, in this case your tyres were over-inflated. As soon as the pump is ready, it starts beeping. Repeat this with the other tyres and then you can safely hit the road again. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bandenspanning_per_merk_en_model\"><\/span>Tyre pressure by brand and model<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The tables below show the tyre pressures for each make and model. However, these are the factory rims and tyre sizes. Ondanks mijn eigen laakbare gedrag, wil ik je er toch op wijzen dat de bandenspanning erg belangrijk is voor de veiligheid, bandenslijtage en het brandstofverbruik. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gevolgen onjuiste bandenspanning <\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De bandenspanning van jouw auto is belangrijker dan je denkt! Onjuiste bandenspanning kan er voor zorgen dat je remweg langer is, de banden sneller en of onregelmatig slijten en het brandstofverbruik toeneemt. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gevolg te hoge bandenspanning<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sommige mensen denken dat ze meer <\/span><b>bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (lucht) in de band moeten pompen dan voorgeschreven, om zodoende het brandstofverbruik te verlagen. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maar teveel <\/span><b>bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in de band zorgt ervoor dat de band het wegoppervlakte niet volledig raakt. Dit heeft gevolgen voor de remweg en grip in bochten .De minimale hoeveelheid brandstof die je bespaart, ben je vervolgens kwijt aan een nieuw setje banden, omdat ze sneller en onregelmatig slijten. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gevolgen te weinig bandenspanning<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De mensen die nooit de bandenspanning controleren en zo een jaar rondrijden, krijgen meestal te maken met te weinig <\/span><b>bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in de band. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De druk zakt door temperatuurverschillen meestal tot onder de 2 <\/span><b>bar. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Als de druk te laag is, is de band extreem zacht en bestaat er een risico dat deze barst bij hoge snelheid of in bochten. De remafstanden zijn langer, het brandstofverbruik neemt toe \u00a0en de band is ook in dit geval sneller versleten. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoe vaak moet je de bandenspanning controleren<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><img class=\"alignright wp-image-149038 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/autobaak.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Bandenspanning-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Bandenspanning\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoewel Nederland nog geen extreme weersomstandigheden kent is het raadzaam om de bandenspanning <strong>maandelijks<\/strong> te controleren. Wellicht is na het wassen van jouw auto een goed moment om de bandenspanning te controleren. Je kan de bandenspanning eenvoudig controleren met behulp van een bandenspanningsmeter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Als je op vakantie gaat naar een land met grote temperatuurswisselingen, dan is het verstandig om de bandenspanning elke week te controleren. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoeveel bar moet in mijn auto? <\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deze informatie staat bijna altijd op de zijkant van een pomp. Als je de juiste informatie hebt gevonden draai je de ventieldopjes van de ventielen (bewaar deze op een goede plek). Vervolgens werp je indien nodig muntgeld in de pomp en stel je de juiste bandenspanning in (bijvoorbeeld voor 2.2 bar en achter 2.3 bar). Dan alleen nog de slang op het ventiel plaatsen en de band wordt opgepompt of loopt leeg, dit is afhankelijk van het aantal bar in je band. Schrik dus niet als de band langzaam een klein beetje leegloopt, in dit geval waren je banden te hard opgepompt. Zodra de pomp klaar is begint deze te piepen. Herhaal dit bij de overige banden en vervolgens kun je weer veilig de weg op. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2>Bandenspanning per merk en model<\/h2>\r\n<p>De tabellen hieronder geven de bandenspanning per merk en model aan. Het gaat hier overigens wel om de af-fabriek velg en bandenmaten.
