When to replace the timing belt
The Skoda Yeti is a compact SUV model of the Czech brand produced from 2009 onwards. This model was delivered with both petrol and diesel engines. Petrol variants produced from 2009 onwards -
- Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI 77 kW = Timing chain, check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
- Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI 81 kW = No clear interval, advice is 120 000 kilometres or after 5 years maximum.
- Skoda Yeti 1.4 TSI 90 kW = Timing chain, check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
- Skoda Yeti 1.4 TSI 92 and 110 kW = No clear interval, advice is 120 000 kilometres or after 5 years maximum.
- Skoda Yeti 1.6 81 kW = No clear interval, advice is 120 000 kilometres or after 5 years maximum.
- Skoda Yeti 1.8 TSI 112 and 118 kW = Timing chain, check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
Diesel variants produced from 2009 onwards -
- Skoda Yeti 1.6 TDI 77 kW = 210 000 kilometres or after a maximum of 8 years.
- Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI all variants with engine codes CEGA and CBDB = 180 000 kilometres or after a maximum of 8 years.
- Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI other codes = 210 000 kilometres or after a maximum of 8 years.
