When to replace the Nissan Almera timing belt

Petrol variants manufactured between 1995 and 2000

  • Nissan Almera 1.4 55 and 64 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years. 
  • Nissan Almera 1.6 66 and 73 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
  • Nissan Almera 2.0 GTI 105 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years.

Diesel variants produced between 1995 and 2000

  • Nissan Almera 2.0 D 55 kW = Every 90 000 kilometres or after a maximum of 4 years. 

Petrol variants produced between 2000 and 2007

  • Nissan Almera 1.5 66 and 72 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years. 
  • Nissan Almera 1.8 84 and 85 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years. 

Diesel variants produced between 2000 and 2007

  • Nissan Almera 1.5 DCI 60 kW =  Every 120 000 kilometres or after a maximum of 5 years.
