When to replace the Nissan Micra timing belt

Petrol variants manufactured between 1992 and 2003

• Nissan Micra 1.0 16v 40 and 44 kW =  Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years. 
• Nissan Micra 1.3 16v 55 kW =  Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years. 
• Nissan Micra 1.4 16v 60 kW =  Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years. 

Diesel variants produced between 1992 and 2003

• Nissan Micra 1.5 D 42 kW =  Every 120 000 kilometres or after a maximum of 6 years. 

Petrol variants produced between 2003 and 2010

• Nissan Micra 1.0 16v 48 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
• Nissan Micra 1.2 16v 48 and 59 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
• Nissan Micra 1.4 16v 65 kW = Timing chain. Check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
