Honda history

The largest motorbike manufacturer in the world is - Honda. This Japanese conglomerate is a transnational corporation. Although it also produces aircraft, motorbikes and power tools, it is most recognised as a car manufacturer. It is also the largest manufacturer of internal-ignition engines in terms of production volume. It is the eighth largest car manufacturer in the world since 2001, after General Motors, Volkswagen Group, Toyota, Hyundai Motor Group, Ford, Nissan and PSA Peugeot Citron (2011). Acura, Japan's first premium brand, was also developed by it in 1986.

Several cars in Honda's range can be called iconic: Civic, Jazz, HR-V, CR-V and NSX, among others. The electric Honda e was added in early 2020. As the most popular Honda, the Civic deserves special attention. In fact, it is one of the longest-running Japanese productions in US history. Only its sworn enemy, the Toyota Corolla, introduced in 1968, came ahead of it. The Civic, Prelude and Accord will all be fitted with the manufacturer's export options until the 1990s.
