When to replace the timing belt
The Skoda Rapid is a compact 5-door model of the Czech brand that has been produced from 2012. This model is delivered with both petrol and diesel engines. Petrol Variants produced from 2012 -
- Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI 70 and 81 kW = No clear interval, advice is 120 000 kilometres or after 5 years maximum.
- Skoda Rapid 1.2 55 kW up to 2015=. Timing chain, check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
- Skoda Rapid 1.2 TSI 63 and 77 kW = Timing chain, check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
- Skoda Rapid 1.2 TSI 66 and 81 kW = No clear interval, advice is 120 000 kilometres or after 5 years maximum.
- Skoda Rapid 1.4 TSI 90 kW = Timing chain, check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
- Skoda Rapid 1.4 TSI 92 kW = No clear interval, advice is 120 000 kilometres or after 5 years maximum.
- Skoda Rapid 1.6 77 kW = Timing chain, check and replace if necessary after 10 years.
Diesel variants produced from 2012 onwards -
- Skoda Rapid 1.4 TDI 66 kW = 210 000 kilometre or after a maximum of 5 years.
- Skoda Rapid 1.6 TDI all variants = 210 000 kilometre or after a maximum of 5 years.
