Useful information about ChevyChevrolet History
The Chevrolet or Chevy for short is one of the best-known American brands and has produced many classics since its inception in 1910. Classic Chevrolet muscle cars are known for their big engines, which were especially popular on the famous drag race tracks and illegal street races in the 1960s and 1970s. Since then, they have become popular collector cars for both those who focus on pristine, classic Chevy cars and those who like to restore a project car to its former glory. If you live for the smell of smoking rubber and the roar of loud engines tearing around the track, Chevy's have as big a place in your heart as they do in ours. There are many famous models of which 2 models have impressed since day 1, the Corvette, Camaro and Chevy Imapala. To this day, you can still find these cars on the road and there is still a dedicated group of enthusiasts for this brand.
Chevrolet and Daewoo
Another page in Chevrolet's history is the acquisition of the bankrupt Daewoo brand by General Motors in late 2004. The Chevrolet logo was used on small South Korean-made cars such as the Matiz and Spark from 2011. In this way, these formerly Daewoo cars were marketed as Chevrolet in Europe. Unfortunately, these "Chevy's" had poor reliability. Due to declining sales and continued financial losses, the brand declared in 2013 that it will withdraw from the European market in 2015, this also marked the end for Chevrolet importers and dealers.
