Useful information about Mini

Information Mini

The Mini is an iconic car and for good reason. The Mini has won several awards since its inception in 1959. In particular, the original model of the years is a model of British culture (think Mr Bean) and remains a popular occasion to this day. The Mini was even voted the most influential model of the 20th century in 1999. That's no mean feat!

Takeover of MINI by BMW

In 1994, Mini was acquired by BMW from then-manufacturer Rover. Soon after the takeover, BMW resold all parts but retained the rights to the Mini brand and moved production to Munich. A year later, the new Mini appeared, unmistakably recognisable as such. This first model was officially called the MINI Hatch. Then in 2007 came the Mini Clubman, a kind of station wagon with a double rear door and two doors on the right, but only one on the left. Mini's SUV, the Countryman, followed in 2010, and 2011 the somewhat bizarre coupé. The latter was withdrawn from the market in 2015. And because sloping roofs were fashionable at the time, Mini offered the four-seater Paceman from 2012 to 2016.
