Useful information about SuzukiSuzuki history
Suzuki is a Japanese car brand who, since their inception, were mainly involved in producing motorbikes and boat engines. In the 1970s, the Japanese developed a small off-road vehicle with a simple, switchable four-wheel drive - and were overwhelmed by global demand. This vehicle hit the roads in Europe in the 1980s under the name LJ 80. It was later followed by the slightly larger SJ series and, from 1998, the Jimny, which is still in production today. At its side is the significantly more comfortable Grand Vitara. In recent decades, however, Suzuki has mainly gained a lot of ground in Europe by releasing the Suzuki Swift, probably Suzuki's best-known model.
Based on car sales, Suzuki is the world's tenth builder and Japan's third. Not for nothing that everyone knows the Suzuki name!
