When to change the timing belt VW Transporter T6

The VW Transporter T6 is logically the successor to the T5, the popular delivery van. The VW Transporter T6 will be produced from 2015 onwards. This model is available with petrol and diesel engines. Petrol variants produced from 2015 onwards -

• VW Transporter T6 2.0 TSI 110 and 150 kW = Check timing chain and replace if necessary after 10 years. 

Diesel Variants produced from 2015 onwards -

• VW Transporter T6 2.0 TDI all variants = 210 000 Kilometres or after a maximum of 5 years. Maximum number of years not specified, 5 years is recommended.
