When to replace a Dacia Duster timing belt

The Dacia Duster is a compact SUV. The Romanian brand uses Renault engines, which is also its parent brand. This Duster was introduced in 2010 and was an immediate success, which probably has something to do with its competitive price. It is available with both diesel and petrol engines.

Below are the timing belt intervals for the Dacia Duster.

Petrol variants produced between 2010 - 2018

  • Dacia Duster 1.2 and 1.3 Tce 92 and 110 kW = Timing chain, check and possibly replace after 10 years
  • Dacia Duster 1.6i 77 kW = Every 120 000 kilometres or 6 years.

Diesel variants produced between 2010 - 2018

  • Dacia Duster 1.5 DCI 79kw = Every 120 000 kilometres or 6 years. (This interval has been reduced from 160 000 to 120 000 kilometres)
